What You’ll Do:
As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee all aspects of accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of real estate investments, and lead division level corporate accounting. The Accounting Manager will be integral in developing and executing strategies to enhance accounting operations, systems, and efficiencies to help support rapid company growth.

Your Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of property accounting and financial reporting in accordance with GAAP for a portfolio of real estate multifamily investments. Manage division level corporate accounting, financial reporting, and treasury management.
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance accounting and financial policies and procedures. Update and maintain standard operating procedures to ensure best practices that are scalable, consistently applied, and drive organizational efficiency.
- Monthly responsibilities include month end close, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, general ledger review and maintenance, bank reconciliations, asset acquisitions and dispositions, accounts payable management, loan management and construction draws, recording of escrows/capital expenditures/depreciation/equity contributions and distributions, and tax schedules and planning.
- Complete accurate and timely financial reporting packages for internal and external team members and partners, and perform analytical review as needed.
- Prepare opening and closing balance sheet entries for acquisitions and dispositions of properties to ensure equity, debt, assets, and liabilities are recorded accurately.
- Manage, train, and develop a modest accounting team of staff accountants and accounts payable associates.
- Utilize technology in a forward-thinking manner.
- Work alongside the Managing Director of Accounting, and in collaboration with the accounting, operations, asset management, investment, project management, and property management teams.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 5-7+ years of accounting experience.
- Previous real estate accounting, tax, or GAAP experience within the areas of private investment and/or property management strongly preferred.
- Previous management experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate clearly and articulate complex ideas in a concise manner.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and other accounting and property management software.
- CPA preferred.
