We are seeking to add an experienced Controller to our growing team. Reporting directly to the Owner, the Controller will be responsible for all of the accounting and financial functions for StreamTech as well as several other commonly owned tax reporting entities. The Controller will maintain GAAP compliant financial books and records, close the books monthly and yearly, produce financial statements and other reports as needed by management for all entities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare or direct preparation of financial statements, account reconciliation, or reports required by regulatory agencies
- Direct and manage all aspects of both internal and external audits
- Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements
- Assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
- Evaluate accounting and internal control systems
- Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
- Review monthly accounting close process including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained
- Maintain and manage the tracking and accounting of all the company’s Fixed Assets and Depreciation schedules
- Identify opportunities and lead initiatives to improve finance processes by incorporating best in class practices.
Requirements:
- Prior experience, at least 3 years, as Accounting Manager, or equivalent
- Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Accounting or equivalent
- CPA Certification required
- In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and industry regulations
- Ability to work with a team, take general directions from several sources, focus attention on details, and complete projects
- Ability to organize, schedule, and prioritize departmental and individual work to meet various schedules and objectives
- Strong analytical skills and logical thought processes, with the ability to identify and resolve sophisticated issues/problems
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
