Job description
The Accounting Manager is proficient and knowledgeable in all areas of accounts payable and receivable governance and controls, along with the general ledger. Must maintain an above-average level of accuracy, be organized, possess problem-solving skills, work well with fellow employees and vendors/customers, and have strong computer skills working with accounting software and Excel.

- Responsibilities for two locations, 2 hours apart. May travel to Spartanburg SC occasionally.
- Assist with the creation and review of FS
- Monthly close responsibilities – various JEs and account analysis
- Assist with budgets and audits as needed
- Supervise a staff of 5 AR and AP
- Oversight of AR and AP – support, learn each job, keep up-to-date on job changes
- Assist with review of agings and collections
- Manage AP process, ensuring proper approvals and coding
- Ensure freight invoices are received timely
- Ensure all regular monthly recurring invoices are received timely
- Own fixed assets
- Assist in improving company processes, including computer systems
- Support documenting and creating internal auditing processes
- Perform other duties or special projects as needed under controller's direction
Must have degree in accounting and 10 years of experience- CPA Required
- Proven experience in similar position
- Strong computer skills including accounting software, MS office – strong Excel
- Well organized, superior attention to detail, can change focus on a moment's notice
- Deadline driven
- Excellent communication abilities both verbally and in writing
- Proactive self-starter with good judgment
