Accounting Services Supervisor – Savage, MN

Road Machinery & Supplies Co. is searching for an Accounting Services Supervisor to join its team at its Savage, MN, location. In this role, you will oversee the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of the Company’s invoices, ensuring proper purchasing and collection documentation is well organized. This position will involve collaborating effectively with other members of the accounting team and our numerous branch location personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Supervising the Accounts Payable and Receivable staff including hiring, training, assigning and directing workflow of the staff.
• Matching key internal and external documentations prior to vendor payment.
• Assessment of general ledger coding of transaction for accuracy.
• Ensuring correct payments are made in a timely manner.
• Analyze customer credit applications and reviewing customer accounts.
• Addressing and correcting discrepancies in accounts or billings
• Prepare customer refunds and assist in collection efforts.
• Assist management with analysis of data and reports.
• Various special projects may also be assigned and assistance when introducing advanced technology initiatives.

Qualifications/Skills:

• 3+ years of supervisory or management experience.
• Thorough understanding of accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to speak and coordinate with individuals across multiple branches within the RMS business.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

• Able to work responsibly, safely, and intelligently.
