One of the largest online retailers of lawn mower and outdoor power equipment parts, Jacks Small Engines has an excellent career opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk at our headquarters in Forest Hill, MD.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: The Accounts Payable Clerk’s primary responsibilities include assisting the accounting department in its execution of various tasks to maintain and uphold various accounts payable records, invoicing and more.

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

1. Reconciles and verifies accuracy of pricing, information and various entries associated with vendor invoicing.

2. Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.

3. Ensures accurate and timely payment to vendors.

4. Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and corporate accounts payable files.

5. Resolves purchase orders or invoice discrepancies; insuring credit is received for outstanding memos.

6. Performs various clerical duties, such as entering data, sorting, copying and filing documents, as well as any related clerical functions.

7. Works closely with purchasing and customer service departments to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

8. Keeps supervisor informed of important information developments, potential problems, and related information necessary for effective management.

9. Performs related work as apparent or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. · High School education or equivalent.

· At least 2 years of experience in an accounts payable, or closely related position.

· Ability to multi-task, work efficiently, and manage deadlines in a changing environment.

· Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of customers, company personnel, and others.

· Efficient in general PC skills.

· Demonstrates Northern Tool + Equipment’s 12 Core Competencies.
