Overview:

American Paper & Twine, a division of Imperial Dade, leading national distributor, has a job open in Nashville, TN. We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to coordinate accounts payable functions and support general accounting department. This is an entry level role, which is perfect for someone comfortable with repetitive tasks and willing to contribute wherever needed throughout the office. This position is Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be physically working in the Nashville, TN branch.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk include:

  • Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of invoices by adhering to financial policies and procedures
  • Post/Validate invoices.
  • Determine accuracy and completeness.
  • Balance voucher posting/edit list after validation.
  • Review differences between purchase order and receiver. Refer problems/discrepancies to supervisor.
  • Scan invoices into Max Recall document acquisition and file original in AP unpaid files.
  • Upload invoices to HS Forms for payments.
Qualifications:
The qualifications of the Accounts Payable Clerk include:
  • Must be a team player.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to operate ERP system and Max Recall software.
  • Proficient in math and ten-key operations.
  • Must have solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
  • Must be flexible and detail oriented with financial competence.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Driver's License
