What You’ll Do:

Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Meeting Room and Events Sales Manager will focus on driving new non-member revenue through generating leads and closing deals. You will be responsible for managing the entire meeting room and event process, working closely with the Community Managers at each location to do so.

Workbar is Boston’s original coworking space, with over 10 years of experience as a company plus 30+ years of collective management experience in the industry, you’ll be joining a team of passionate, experienced industry leaders. There is no red tape here: we make decisions quickly and empower our teams to accomplish their objectives.

Even More About What You’ll Do:

  • Work the meeting room and events sales process on all inquiries
  • Manage a portfolio of existing companies to encourage repeat and new business
  • Promote Workbar by demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of all offerings
  • Fully understand the pricing structure and maximise all opportunities during peak and off-peak time periods
  • Have an in depth knowledge of key competition and their strengths and weaknesses versus Workbar
  • Manage non-member company and inventory information through Salesforce and OfficeRnD ensuring that it is up to date
  • Attend relevant trade shows/exhibitions/networking events and host Workbar promos to drive new business.
  • Identify new opportunities (with an emphasis on creating partnerships) for the business to drive more revenue
  • Manage the successful delivery of your non-member accounts and verify with post-event/meeting feedback
  • Prepare and track budget/revenue to achieve targets set by the Management Team

  • You consistently exceed lead, deal and new revenue targets
  • You consistently show 110% effort when trying to drive new business
  • You are willing to take risks and constantly bring new ideas to the table
  • You are part of the Sales Team, but work closely with the Operations Team and Marketing Team to drive leads, close deals and provide a great customer experience for non-member meeting room/event space use.

Skills And Experience You Need:

  • 3+ years of event sales experience
  • A demonstrated track record of driving new business
  • A proven record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to build at the strategic level and very hands-on at the executional level
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Familiar with New England region, particularly the locales of our 11 locations
