AVA Pork Products, a leading manufacturer & distributor of quality beef and pork products is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist. Our offices, manufacturing & distribution center is in Hicksville, New York.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process credits for merchants and vendors and post them to the G/L.
• Able to handle an environment that is extremely fast-paced.
• Responsible for financial, administrative, and clerical support to vendors.
• Ensure all invoices are received and processed prior to end-of-month inventory.
• Analyze workflow processes and improve functionality for bank reconciliation.
• Ensure maintenance, filing, and storage of records for purposes of audits.
• Maintain all account and client detail information accurately in our database system; including status updates and contact attempts to reconcile daily sales.
• Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors and ensure payments are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Process due invoices for payments and post them to the G/L.
• Compare purchase orders, prices, terms of payment, and other charges such as freight and cents/lbs.
• Maintain cash receipts journal and reconcile sub-ledger to the G/L.
• Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling accounts

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree (Required)

- Proficiency with MS Excel (Required)

- 2 years of Accounts Payable experience (Required)

- 1 years of Accounts Payable in the manufacturing sector (Required)

- S2K Experience (Required)
