POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for managing all accounts receivable and collection functions including establishing customer credit limits, maintenance of customer accounts, preparation of bank deposits, posting of cash receipts, researching, reconciling and resolving payment discrepancies, and preparing bi-weekly and monthly reports. Work closely Sales and Management to ensure consistent, productive, and professional communication with new and existing customers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs collection duties
  • Works closely with Sales to develop collection plan for customers
  • Performs all ERP data entry in Accounts Receivable Module
  • Reconciles payments with individual invoices and customer adjustments
  • Maintains and distributes Accounts Receivable reports
  • Report and develop credit/collection plan for past due accounts
  • Establish customer credit limits
  • Review and adjust current credit status
  • Accessing current bank deposit information on-line
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Strong Excel and Word skills
  • Demonstrate professional verbal and written demeanor with internal and external customers
  • Strong experience with ERP systems
  • Detailed-oriented approach to work
  • Ensure consistency and understanding of AR policies and procedures
  • Organize and prioritize work
  • Analyze and problem-solve
  • Work well under time restrictions
CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE
  • One year experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit, and Collections required
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Willing to work weekends as necessary
  • Willing to work extended hours occasionally
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK CONDITIONS
  • Use of office equipment and PC equipment.
  • Requires the following physical activities: reaching, sifting, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity.
  • Involves working seated the majority of the time.
  • Perform basic clerical lifting of small quantities of paper
  • Demonstrate upper body mobility
  • Bend as is necessary for sitting, using computers, and using the telephone
PHYSICAL CLASSIFICATION OF JOB:
Sedentary Work: The ability to lift up to ten pounds occasionally or up to five pounds frequently. Although a sedentary job is defined as one that involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
