The Heritage Center at Holiday Health Care is looking for Activity Assistants! We are looking for individuals who are reliable, kind-hearted and have experience working with the elderly. They will keep adaily record of which residents participate in the activity and how they are progressing.

Activity Assistant for General Population:

• Full Time
• Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm with some evenings 1-2 times a week
• Weekend rotation

Rate of pay will vary based on certification and experience.

Qualifications:

• Must possess communication and people skills.
• Proficient using a computer.
• Experience working in long-termcare preferred.
• Must be able to stand/walk at least 85% of your job.
• Must be able to carry at least 20 pounds or more.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Activities Department will coordinate games, musicians, holiday events, special meals, outings, etc. At the Heritage Center, we provide social interaction and engagement for a better living experience and quality of life.

• Lead daily activities by abiding by the scheduled activity calendar; but be flexible if changes need to be made.
• Must be able to think of safety at all times when implementing activities, out of the building driving the bus, or on an outing.
• Must be willing and able to alert Supervisor and/or Administrator of any behavior issues occurring between residents or with staff. Report any problems or concerns that may arise during the day. Record any behavior issues in the designated book in Activity Office.
• Must also be aware of budget limitations and not wasteful. Think recycle and reuse.
