Job Title: Adjunct Faculty, Lecturer of Environmental Science
Department: Physical & Environmental Sciences
Position No. FP1450
Employment Type: Adjunct Faculty, schedule varies based on course needs. Classes may be taught during the day or online.
Salary: Adjunct faculty are paid on a per credit hour basis, commensurate with highest degree held.

SUMMARY:
The Adjunct Faculty, Lecturer in Environmental Science is a part-time position with the responsibility of teaching lecture sections of 100-level environmental science courses as needed by the department, such as ENVS 101 Introduction to Environmental Science and/or ENVS 104 Environmental Science: Global Sustainability. The Environmental Science Lecturer will use course materials provided by CMU. Alternate materials may be used with the approval of the department head.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Teach 100-level environmental science courses.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
An MS in environmental science or a related field is required.
Effective communication skills
PREFERRED:
Ph.D. in environmental science or a related field is preferred.
Teaching experience is desirable.
