• Evaluating the creditworthiness of potential customers
• Creating credit models for risk assessments
• Negotiating and approving credit terms for new clients
• Reviewing and updating the company’s credit policy
• Ensuring procedures comply with regulations and internal policies
• Proactively monitors and evaluates risk on an ongoing basis, anticipating and mitigating potential risks and escalating red flags to key stakeholders
• Managing daily credit department activities, supervising staff, and allocating assignments
• Maintaining an effective partnership with customers, Sales, Operations and Finance departments

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related discipline
• 7+ years’ of experience in credit management. Prior experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, strongly preferred
• Extensive experience with credit analysis and proficiency with accounting software
• Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze problems and strategize solutions
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills; builds positive working relationships with staff; can effectively lead, coach/mentor junior staff members
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and, at times, stressful environment with high-pressure situations that require clear and sound decisions/actions
• High level of integrity and discretion to handle confidential information
