Location: State Farm, VA, the Transitional Women’s Work Release Program (TWWR) mission is to teach low-security level inmates who are 6-8 months from release of incarceration effective coping skills to lead a pro-social, drug-free life and assist those eligible to obtain employment in the community.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with an unpaid 30 minute meal break.

Pay rate: $19.2307/hr. ($40,000 annually)

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for:
  • Typing memos, meeting minutes, and other correspondence relevant to program operations.
  • Maintaining personnel records for all Spectrum employees within the assigned program.
  • Ordering office and program supplies and completing purchase orders, check requests, and other financial documents under the direction of the Program Director.
  • Conducting filing in support of clinical staff.
  • Maintaining tracking logs and databases relative to program clients as directed.
  • Managing petty cash, tracking receipts, and completing petty cash reconciliation reports for Program Director approval.
  • Strictly adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality policies when responding to inquiries for client information or copies of information.
  • Acting as receptionist for the program demonstrating optimal customer service while answering the telephone, greeting visitors, and sending and receiving mail.
Qualifications:
  • High School graduate/GED with a minimum of 1 year administrative services experience required.
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc…) or similar software required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and public.
  • Experience working in a correctional or secure environment is highly desirable.
