PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The part-time Administrative Assistant will center their work around child care licensing data management and child care grant data collection and organization for grant reporting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Administrative Assistant will collect and organize the data for various child care grant reports due monthly and quarterly.
2. Set timelines and work flows to meet grant reporting and child care licensing deadlines.
3. Assist with child care licensing information management.
4. Provide back-up assistance with child care staff DHS files as time allows and based on the need.
5. Collaborate with other departments as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
1. High level of attention to detail and accuracy
2. Organized, with ability to manage multiple competing priorities
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and embrace frequent change
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
5. Experience with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets is required
6. Demonstrate the desire to learn and grow in the current position and beyond

WORK SCHEDULE:
The schedule for this part-time position is generally during the day but may require flexibility to meet the needs of the department and the current reporting deadlines.
