Olin Chlor Alkali Products and Vinyls, a division of Olin Corporation, is seeking an Administrative Assistant to supporting multiple Manufacturing Directors. This position is in Lake Jackson, TX.

Administrative Assistant Essential Functions:

  • Provides and/or oversees support activities for the unit such as answering telephones, maintaining calendars, making travel arrangements, writing, and preparing documentation and correspondence for the office, reviewing, and controlling incoming and outgoing correspondence, and following-up on operational commitments.
  • Organizes and facilitates meetings and special events, schedules and coordinates dates and times, venues, attendance, agendas, and facilities, takes minutes, and provides administrative support and follow-up on matters arising from meetings.
  • Research information, compiles statistics, and gathers and computes various data; prepares special and/or one-time reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries, selecting relevant data from a variety of sources.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact between the Manufacturing Directors and internal/external constituencies; provides information and performs problem solving on a range of issues.

Administrative Assistant Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED; Associate degree* in administrative field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in an administrative support role
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with SAP or other integrated accounts payable systems knowledge is preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, prioritization, and written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Problem-solving, judgment, and planning skills associated with administrative responsibilities
  • Ability to multi-task with focus and commitment to details
  • Prior Olin experience in a related position preferred
  • A Valid US Driver's license is required
