This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Central Office, 2414 Bull Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
As the Administrative Manager II under limited supervision of the Program Manager I, you will serve as Administrator of Forensics and Contract Monitoring Services. Consult with contractors and vendors to resolve concerns. Leads all aspects of budget preparation, analyze financial performance, bill payments and reimbursements. Manages all physical plant/maintenance activities within building 6 and building 1, including but not limited to, maintaining building up-keep, anticipating long and short-term improvements and ensuring the security of the building and staff.
Responsibilities for the Administrative Manager II include but are not limited to:
- Plans, organizes and manages business functions of Forensics and Contract Monitoring, Including responsibility for oversight and approval of budgets/expenses for Forensics and Contract Monitoring, this includes reviewing invoices, approving expenditures, overseeing supply orders, researching and responding to queries from finance, and preparing reports for budget (and other) meetings related to financial issues. Maintains Inventories for all Forensic and Contract Monitoring program areas.
- Oversees building operations and maintenance Issues for Building 6, Building I, and the DMH areas of the McLendon building. Arrange and track maintenance and repair projects. Ensure office spaces are prepared for new employees.
- Coordination of Information Technology issues: Responsible for new employee tech set-up equipment and accounts, oversight of remote evaluation equipment and troubleshooting, training staff in remote evaluation technology use.
- Transportation: Oversees vehicle logs, upkeep of vehicles, training, and new employee setup.
- PSO liaison: Ensures that transportation for evaluation and legal appointments are executed by PSO. Responsible for resolving transport issues and general coordination with PSO related to any Forensics and Contract Monitoring functions.
State Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor's degree and relevant experience in administrative services, public administration or business management.
