Administrative Warehouse Clerk

For over 87 years, Gold Medal has been a leader in the concession industry for both equipment and supplies including popcorn, cotton candy, Sno-Kones and much more. Due to our continued growth, we are searching for an Administrative Warehouse Clerk to join our growing team.

The primary focus of this position is to pull concession equipment and supplies from our warehouse and assist with front office administrative tasks. Below is an overview of those responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pick and stage orders from computer generated invoices.
  • Handle inquiries and orders by phone, fax, postal mail, e-mail, Internet.
  • Take incoming calls – answer questions, write and process orders.
  • Address any issues, concerns or problems that customers and prospective customers may have, in a service role.
  • Make outgoing phone calls to customers and prospects.
  • Assist with dealer promotions.
  • Loads trucks using a sit-down forklift in a safe and organized manner so that merchandise can be easily and safely retrieved for delivery to the customer.
  • Checks quantity delivered to customer against invoice and obtains signature on invoice from Customer.
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the branch manager.
  • Completes tasks as directed by branch manager follows delivery schedules with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to drive company vehicle to make routine deliveries when necessary.
  • Maintains Vehicle Inspection log book and reports problems with their truck to the branch manager immediately.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Reports any traffic violations to supervisor as soon as possible.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of general warehouse operation and experience picking orders.
  • Must have forklift experience and a valid drivers license.
  • Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to learn a wide variety or product lines and customers, while delivering quality work, are key attributes of this individual.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Regular interaction with customers and team members requires a friendly approachable demeanor. Proven ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate professionally, effectively and efficiently in person, on the telephone, over the Internet and in all correspondence.
  • Strong work ethic and a high energy level for fast paced environment
  • Ability to work with a diversified work force and customer base
  • Computer skills including but not limited to, MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to catch-on to new software platforms in required.
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds.
  • Regularly required to stand, bend, reach and lift.
  • Strong work ethic and a high energy level for fast paced environment that includes both inside and outside climate conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
