Job Overview

The Admissions Advisor (AA) is a key member of the US Partnership Admissions team (USPA). The AA supports the international student applicant admissions processes in an effective and efficient manner while demonstrating high attention to detail and adherence to agreed timelines, procedures and processes. This role will assist applicants and customers of each of INTO’s university partnerships by demonstrating exceptional customer service and a commitment to student success. The Admissions Advisor will be able to successfully demonstrate knowledge of all admissions processes & INTO pathway programs regardless of the applicant’s selected course.


Key Responsibilities

This is an exciting role in a growing, dynamic organization so responsibilities of the position may change and develop over time but may include:

  • Responsible for being a point of contact & subject matter expert on all INTO partnership-based programs
  • Take ownership of each student application with an end goal of assisting in successful student matriculation
  • Ensure data and documents collected by customers throughout the application process are high quality & complete; rectify & assist customers as needed
  • Provide relevant pre-arrival and registration information to students and education agents
  • Ensure compliance with handling student visa applications & understand immigration legislation processes
  • Mindful of safeguarding student data to ensure the wellbeing of students; able to appropriately handle sensitive data & confidential information
  • Provide advising support for agents and/or students during the application process; interpretation skills may be required
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all admissions processes regardless of applicant program selected; process student information inclusive of Pathway and Direct Entry (DE) university programs
  • Strong attention to detail and responsible for the quality and accuracy of data entered in all systems in an efficient manner; ensure applications are submitted and processed in a timely manner
  • Foster positive relationships with all key stakeholders & internal and external customers (ie: students, agents, parents, sponsors, etc.)
  • Build effective working relationships with INTO’s Joint Venture/Center colleagues, peers, and INTO marketing and recruitment teams in North America and globally
  • Optimize student conversion rates of potential inquiries to successful enrollment; communicate & share various INTO programs and offerings to potential customers
  • Evaluate & assess applicants through INTO’s iCAAF methodology
  • Participate & assist with team training; Cross-train in various departments and functions to maximize efficiency in the role.
  • Be able to execute basic/intermediate math computations related to the application process
  • Willing and able to learn new products as our business relationships grow
  • Demonstrate proficiency of job duties and processes within the first 3 months of employment
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Essential:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Experience working in a customer service role
  • Strong technical skills & data entry experience; knowledge of CRM systems
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a diverse team & customer base
  • Passion for higher education
  • Ability to exhibit critical thinking & analytical skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills; prioritize, meet deadlines and work well under pressure

Desirable:

  • Experience working with Salesforce, Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc), Teams, Sharepoint, and Workday
  • Experience working in higher education
  • Experience studying abroad; interest in other nationalities and cultures
  • Previous experience of working in student admissions or student services
  • Proficiency in speaking multiple languages; Relevant linguistic skills (Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, South American Spanish, Russian, Arabic).
  • Have experience of the English Language training and higher education markets

Reporting Line

The Admissions Advisor reports to the assigned Sr. Admissions Lead and the Admissions Manager. Expected to work flexibly across a range of teams according to variations in demand including Global USPA management team.

This is a full time regular, hourly position at $17.78/hour.

Location

This position is based at our INTO UAB office located in Birmingham, Alabama with potential for some remote work.
