The East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) is a public Career and Technical Education District (CTED) providing tuition-free career and technical education (CTE) programs to high school students – public, charter, and home-schooled – and tuition-based programs to adults who reside in 11 school districts in the East Valley of the Phoenix metropolitan area.

EVIT offers over 40 CTE programs at four centralized campuses. Centralized campus programs provide two to four hours of hands-on training every day and prepare students for professional certification and licensing exams. EVIT students who complete their training have a 98 percent high school graduation rate and 90 percent on average are in jobs related to their training, college or the military within a year. Two out of three EVIT students go on to college.

Applications are being accepted for the position of Adjunct Practical Nursing Clinical Instructor with the East Valley Institute of Technology. The hourly salary for this position is $45.

Job Summary: Under general supervision, the Practical Nursing Clinical Instructor will supervise and reinforce essential Practical Nursing skills to provide safe care in the nursing home environment, utilizing the Practical Nursing curriculum approved by the AZ State Board of Nursing

Qualifications:
Current Arizona Registered Nurse license in good standing or multi-state
privilege to practice in Arizona under A.R.S. Title 32, Chapter 15
AND
BSN degree from an accredited university and 3 years of experience as
registered nurse providing direct patient care.
OR
Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited university with at least 2 years of
experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care

Must hold an unencumbered Registered Nursing license
Proof of all current immunizations/titers
Proof of negative PPD or negative chest x-ray
Must be CPR certified
Unofficial College Transcript
Valid DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Evidence of a satisfactory physical/mental health examination by a licensed provider
Negative Urine drug screen for commonly abused controlled substances
