Overall Expectation:
Provide technical support to a cross-functional team supporting new process introductions for business growth, vertical integration, and continuous improvement opportunities. Our goal is to provide safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing processes that allow our teams to deliver customer products on time, with minimal defects, and utilize the most cost effective methods.
Highlighted Expectations:
- Support new business development activities with accurate costs and assumptions (Quoting, prototype, TAKT/Cycle Time...).
- Utilize time management skills and action item lists to prioritize and address multiple requests, achieving timing expectations that result in win-win project outcomes.
- Ensure processes meet technical requirements including safety, ergonomics, timing, and financial measures
- Support development teams and external customers with excellent service, responsiveness, and a positive attitude.
- Collaborates with production support teams to help drive ideas to support improvements in the operation.
- Justify annual compensation through implementation of manufacturing cost reductions (labor, equipment, or tooling), continuous improvement, and VA/VE analysis.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or electrical engineering.
- 5-7 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience in quoting new business, developing new manufacturing processes, and integration into production.
- Knowledge of multiple relevant manufacturing processes and industries.
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in customer interaction and problem solving. (preferred)
- Experience in PLC and robot programing and troubleshooting. (preferred)
- Experience in implementing lean manufacturing concepts and principles. (preferred)
- Able to travel internationally. (preferred)
