POSITION TITLE: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse

SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIP: Medical Director

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Education – Graduate Degree in Nursing

B. Licensure/Certification – Georgia License as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)

C. Experience – Minimum one-year (1) in behavioral health facility with knowledge of assessing, plan for,

and provide basic nursing skills

D. Other - Criminal background check clearance, official academic transcripts, valid driver’s license/ID

drug screen, TB test

REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

· Ability to function independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical for complex acute, critical, and chronically ill perioperative patients.

· Ability to order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient’s age-specific needs

· Possess the skills to intervene, stabilize and manage acute crisis situations as needed

· Conduct all professional activity in an ethical manner.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· In conjunction with other staff assist in identifying and eliminating any situation which puts at risk the health and/or safety of clients, staff, or others who come in contact with site operations.

· Utilize literature, workshops, and other training aids to continually improve clinical and administrative skills.

· Assist in assuring Agency compliance with all related licensing and accreditation requirements.

· Maintain licensure/credentials by completing all recommended continuing education requirements.

· Prescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities

· Implements interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiologic stability, including but not limited to serving in the first assisting role.

· Facilitates the patient’s transition within and between health care settings, e.g., admitting, transferring, and discharging patients.

· Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members by making appropriate referrals.

· Facilitates staff, patient and family decision making by providing educational tools.

· Modifies client treatment plans as indicated by clients' responses and conditions.

· Provides health care, first aid, immunizations and assistance in convalescence and rehabilitation.

· Ensure and provide high quality compassionate and ethical outpatient services and improve program and organizational performance 100% of the time.

· Consult with other outpatient site staff regarding client’s treatment.

· Assist in training co-staff in areas relating to service specialties as needed.

· Maintain confidentiality for all indirect/direct service in accordance with agency policies and HIPAA policies.

· Maintain clinical records in accordance with agency policies.

· Ensure timely completion of agency required training/workshops.

SALARY RANGE: $120,000

WORK HOURS: Days, nights and weekend availability

Pay: From $120,000.00 per year
