Responsibilities:
Join Principal as an Advanced Solutions Analyst on the Business and Advanced Solutions Team. You will work in a fast paced, innovative, and collaborative environment to support life insurance products in concepts to meet business owner and key employee needs. The selected candidate will build and leverage relationships with external financial professionals and internal partners to prepare accurate and timely analysis.This position is an excellent opportunity to join a high performing team that is passionate about providing solutions that work for our customers.

Your primary responsibilities will be:
  • Use product and concept expertise to create illustrations and financial models for the successful marketing and sale of business unit products on business, estate, and personal financial planning cases for business owners and key employees.
  • Provide presale consulting support and illustrations on cases for experienced producers.
  • Provide input on the creation and development of processes and illustration capabilities. Analyze illustration capabilities for concepts; identify and prioritize problems and areas for improvement.
  • Establish, follow and understand the Salesforce process for tracking requests for proposals from creating the proposal and financial model through the administration of the plan.
  • Perform other job related duties and special projects as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or background in Math, Finance, Accounting or Actuarial Science.
  • 4+ years' experience performing financial modeling required and experience with Life Insurance and deferred compensation plans preferred.

A successful candidate will have:
  • Ability to assess and manage complex circumstances, cultivate and implement innovations, drive results and optimize work processes in collaboration with stakeholders and through continuous self-development.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical/problem solving, presentation, and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's and data manipulation), Word, and PDF document creation skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, accuracy and strict attention to detail.
  • FINRA registration / licensing or obtain it within 6 months of start.

Location:
This position will be based out of Principal’s Des Moines IA Office but will allow for a hybrid (approximately 40% work from home) work arrangement.
Salary Range Information: Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range: $65600 - $113100 / year Additional Information:
