GVA Property Management is looking for an Affordable Housing & HUD Compliance Manager who will facilitate the processing of apartment rental applications to determine the applicant's qualification for participation in various state and federal government-regulated affordable housing programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Review applicant and resident re-certification files to ensure program compliance.
- Prepare and submit required reports for various program compliance to oversight agencies and or partners as instructed.
- Assist other departments with compliance issues as requested.
- Reads and understands regulatory documents for assigned affordable properties in addition to having a full understanding of all state and federal manuals that outline the compliance requirements and guidelines. Inform on-site property management staff of any changes in compliance regulations.
- Responsible for ensuring 100% compliance in various state and federal regulated affordable housing programs for any applicant or resident file reviewed. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required forms and documents. Bring non-compliance issues to the attention of the Supervisor and initiate corrective actions.
- Final preparation and scanning of approved files as requested by lenders, syndicators, owners, and state and federal government agencies.
- Full understanding of property management software and the ability to assist in resolving and training resolutions to other team members.
- Manage all aspects of compliance for the assigned properties including but not limited to, entering and updating information in property management software, completing owner required reports, completing reports as required by monitoring agencies, monitoring and expediting file approval timeline, gathering documentation from sites, and submitting responses to monitoring agencies as necessary following agency inspections. Ensure security and storage of files per regulation.

- Strong computer skills and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with ResMan Affordable or other property management software programs.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Even temperament and the ability to work well under pressure.
Education/Experience:
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in an Affordable Housing Compliance role (LURA/Low Income/Affordable Properties)
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- HCCP or other professional designation highly preferred
- Complete and pass a series of online Tax Credit Compliance courses through Grace Hill within 60 days of hire date.
- Complete and pass Fair Housing Training within 60 days of hire date and annual thereafter.
- Valid state driver's license.
