Holy Redeemer Catholic School located in Kissimmee, FL has an immediate opening for a highly qualified, part-time After Care Assistant. We are seeking a candidate who has a positive attitude, is a team player, and can work consistently within the mission and vison of our Catholic school.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide students between PreK3-8th grades with a high level of supervision and an example of a good role model.
- Assist with the development and planning of activities as a part of the daily routine.
- Provide a warm and caring atmosphere for participants.
- Maintain open communication between program leadership and other school personnel as needed.
- Prepare activities that are developmentally appropriate for the age of the children.
- Communicate with the parents as needed.
- Maintain a safe environment for participants through engaged supervision.
- Attend team meetings as needed.
- Maintain a positive attitude toward students and co-workers.
- Report any problems which arise with participants, other employees, or the school to the Program Director.
- Responsible for all activity and room preparations for the program.
- Clean and disinfect all areas as needed prior to and after student interaction with all spaces.
- Proactively respond to any issues and concerns regarding the student interaction or safety of utilized spaces.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Work is performed both in and outdoors in an environmentally controlled setting.
- Work is to be performed directly on school campus.
- Work requires that you be able to stand for long periods of time while supervising children.
- High School Graduate required, some college preferred.
- Experience with child care a plus.
