Our team collaborates to provide programs that foster a child’s social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth. This is a part-time position (Monday through Friday, hours available from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.) that takes place August - May. Typical shifts are 4 hours in length and you must commit to at least 2 shifts per week. Up to 20 hours per week available in this particular role.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The YMCA of Central Kentucky’s part-time SACC Group Leader provides direct supervision of children and is responsible for the successful implementation of quality after school care. The Leader promotes and supports the potential of all youth in programs and facilitates peer-to-peer connections as part of the overall experience. Group Leaders assist the SACC Site Director in the implementation a culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate curriculum that creates a positive, nurturing environment and includes adult directed activities and center choices that takes into consideration the needs of each child and the goals and objectives of the YMCA.

Employee is regularly required to use hands to fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee is required to sit, and occasionally taste and smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.

$500/$750 Stay With/Join Us – After School Licensed Childcare Bonus Requirements (part-time):

• Must start no later than August 22, 2022
• Must be actively working until December 16, 2022
• Must work a minimum of:

$500 = 136 hours between 8/22 and 12/16 (average of 8 hours per week/17 weeks)

$750 = 204 hours between 8/22 and 12/16 (average of 12 hours per week/17 weeks)

• Unexcused absences will void an employee’s eligibility for the bonus.
• Any planned time off during the semester must be submitted by 9/15/2022 or at least 4 weeks prior to the needed time off.
• Late starts (after 8/22) and early terminations (before 12/16) will not be eligible for the bonus unless they meet the total worked hours requirement as noted above.
• Bonuses are subject to taxes and withholding. Bonuses will be paid out on December 23, 2022.
