JOB SUMMARY

The Digital Marketing Project Manager is a member of the Marketing team within the American Cancer Society Digital Marketing Department. The project manager is responsible for performing tasks and managing tasks associated with tactical, operational, and strategic projects for Digital Marketing. Will work closely with the Director of Digital Projects - Portfolio management to identify, plan, organize, and drive activities related to projects. Accountable for completing the tasks and projects by delivering on time scope, schedule, cost, and quality. Enjoys learning and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and overcoming obstacles to realize project and task delivery success. Serves as a trusted adviser who can be called upon at any moment to provide support and project insight. Creates a collaborative partnership with the business units to accomplish deliverables. Provides guidance to the project team and ensures project is integrated with other projects and ACS objectives and goals. Follows standard project management methodology for specific project plans.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate and coordinate the work of multiple projects engaged in the establishment.
  • Meets with Digital Marketing Product Owners/Managers to assist with business case, project charter, project scope, assumptions, and deliverables.
  • Conducts project kick-off meeting with team members to explain roles/responsibilities, relationships with other groups, deliverables, timelines, assignments, and status reporting. Assists with updating and revising plan, as necessary.
  • Ensure that projects are successfully launched. Provide traditional project management functions. requirements definition; release management; scope, timeline, budget monitoring.
  • Develops project plan including schedule, budget, using Agile methodology.
  • Provides timely project status updates and milestones and charts, risk assessments, analysis and key deliverables.
  • Assists in developing risk management plan and change control plan for the project.
  • Identifies and works to remove barriers to successful completion of the overall project, with particular emphasis on resolving issues with cross-module implications.
  • Incorporates quality standards in project implementation.
  • Monitors the project budget and schedule as needed.
  • Facilitates project retrospective review meeting and documents lessons learned.
  • Represents the project at meetings and in group discussions as requested.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
