Job Summary:

The Air Pricing & Contracting Analyst will be required to conduct analysis supporting the successful contracting and pricing of the air product. Critical analysis required of pricing models, contracts, forecasting plans and the competitive environment. Key areas of focus are on the implementation, maintenance, and ROI Analysis of key elements & strategies of the global airline contracting and pricing plan.

Primary Functions:

  • Makes recommendations and decisions on the composition of the analysis
  • Reviews data and makes decisions on which data sources to use to build the analysis
  • Applies findings from analysis to make contracting related decisions for the organization
  • Analyzes contracts, pricing models, forecasting plans and the competitive environment to aid in the administration and operational execution of the air product
  • Conducts comparison analysis of each carrier per market segment to facilitate air contracting strategy
  • Executes contract implementation plans as it pertains to new partnerships or existing contract revisions
  • Supports Manager of Air Pricing & Contracting in the research and evaluation of potential airline partnership agreements as well as determining the ROI on existing agreements
  • Supports Manager of Air Pricing & Contracting in the administration of airline contracts, partnership development and face to face meetings with key partners
  • Liaises with the airlines and operational air teams to bridge potential gaps in service and communication
  • Thoughtfully and professionally works with the Air Operations team and internal stakeholders to relate, explain, and increase levels of comprehension concerning air contracts
  • Creates and maintains spreadsheets, pivot tables and data analytics that are utilized to aid in decision making on pricing
  • Maintains integrity of contracts, work environment and year over year air price change analysis for all markets of distribution
  • Works in partnership with Air Management to train and increase levels of comprehension concerning air contracts and pricing
  • Ensures accuracy of air pricing displayed in CRM and retail distribution systems
  • Audits fuel and tax environment for origin & destination pairs, determines financial impact and implements appropriate action plan
  • Backup, troubleshoot, and assist Air Pricing & Contracting Analyst/Manager with any and all functions
  • Review and analyze monthly profit analysis for the US, AUS, and Canadian offices in coordination with the Manager of Air Pricing & Contracting to determine contract effectiveness
  • Interface with product development team regarding air for building out new tour products
  • Competitive analysis and special projects– active role as defined and needed by Manager of Air Pricing & Contracting and the Strategic Team

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or related field
  • Minimum Experience 0-3 years
  • Willing to train the right candidate
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills,
  • Utilizes independent judgement and decision making
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel to include use of Pivot Tables
  • Strong interpersonal skills, self-starter and self-motivated
  • Willingness to benefit from coaching and guidance
  • Desire to continually learn and improve their analytical and technical skills
  • Ability to travel several weeks per annually
