Job Purpose

This position will provide analytical support service to the department such as gathering and analyzing data and producing reports to provide relevant and up to date information to support decision making for the department. Aviation Operations Department perform aerial inspections that improve the reliability of assets.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead the development and implementation of use case benefit tracking analysis across the various functions within National Grid that incorporate aerial operations into their normal business processes.
• Support the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) program and internal stakeholders with analysis of OPEX savings, CAPEX savings, data improvements and safety improvements related to aerial operations at National Grid.
• Enter and maintain UAS use case savings and process improvements into Enterprise Hub or equivalent program.
• Help coordinate aerial operational requests between National Grid stakeholders and crews.
• Maintain necessary research related to use case analysis for implementation of aerial operations within National Grid.
• Collaborate with internal resources in collection and development of best operational uses for UAS.
• Provide internal and external communications regarding operations to all stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience in the electric/gas utility and aviation industries preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in Continuous Improvement field, or equivalent.
• Six Sigma Blackbelt Certification or equivalent preferred.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders including Transmission Line Inspection and Maintenance, Transmission Line Engineering, Transmission Line Asset Management, Substation O&M Services, Operations, Vegetation, Gas, Generation, Customer, Procurement, IS Data Security, and Asset Development.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and or direct development of use case analysis and benefit tracking.
• Demonstrated ability in delivery of procedures to small and large diverse audiences.
• Effective communication skills - verbal/written and presentation – capable of tailoring communications to meet stakeholder\customer needs.
• Demonstrates the ability to build an informed, independent opinion of use case benefits and process improvements.
• Broad knowledge of relevant industry practices, standards, and legislation.
• 10-25% travel within NY, MA, NH.
