Job Summary
Job Summary:
Working as the Technical Buyer, you are responsible for the management of over $10M in procurement of medical equipment repair parts and services annually. You will determine the procurement methods, and negotiate and implement national agreements in accordance with established policy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishes national and local agreements for parts and services
- Ensures that suppliers are performing under Agreements and managing in a continuous process improvement mindset
- Assists field operations manage their tools and test equipment
- Maintains CMMS database as it applies to procurement responsibilities; ensures there is consistent part(s) information, parts are categorized correctly, eliminate duplicate part(s) numbers, ensures part(s) numbers and vendor numbers are correct/updated
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business preferred
- Must have prior experience with purchasing medical device parts
- Experience or working knowledge of Clinical Engineering terminology and/or healthcare terminology is REQUIRED
- Procurement and negotiation experience REQUIRED
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Competent computer skills including Excel, Word and Power Point
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good organization and time management skills
