The Operations Analyst – Entertainment & Attractions , will provide analytical support and research across all areas of the Entertainment Department including budgetary planning, P&L reviews, performance analysis, labor tracking and other related matters. This position will be a high-profile role within the Entertainment Department, regularly interacting with department leadership and key stakeholders such as artists, producers/promoters and other venue partners as well as Caesars Entertainment senior management. Additionally, the position will p lay a vital role in supporting tactical and strategic decision making by senior management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Track departmental financial results against budgeted plan and provide quantitative and qualitative analysis along with benchmarking of actual financial performance
  • Develop and maintain a database of key business indicators such as revenue and EBITDA, advance sales, paid attendance, average ticket price, ridership, etc. which can be used to forecast financial results, identify anomalies, snapshots of financial performance and highlighting divergences from original assumptions
  • Prepare and maintain forecasts incorporating trend analysis against planned business activity
  • Organize financial results to provide a dashboard for ‘at a glance’ summaries of department KPI’s
  • Prepare and lead monthly, quarterly and annual business reviews providing commentary and analysis as needed
  • In conjunction with the Director of Entertainment Settlements, lead the department’s preparation of FY planning and budgetary process, including labor and capital plans
  • Continually evaluate financial results to identify trends in the business with awareness towards potential opportunities and challenges and to identify cost savings and incremental revenue opportunities
  • Develop and coordinate fiscal year planning calendar with key deadlines and critical paths towards achieving them
  • Assist in the reconciliation of key accounting functions related to month-end reporting
  • Collaborate with leaders in the department to improve communication, enhance efficiencies, streamline decision making and seek out synergies
  • Provide other areas of support as needed

ADDITIONAL DUTIES / JOB DIMENSIONS:

Analyst may be asked to work non-traditional hours at times including evenings, weekends and holidays. The analyst will operate in a dynamic, fast paced, and at times stressful, environment and will be expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously while demonstrating judgement on prioritization. Requires an experienced, highly energetic and detail-oriented self-starter.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication (including charts and graphs) skills with proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned work
  • Other projects as assigned by the VP, On Property Finance, and Analytics

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE:

Experience in accounting, financial analysis, or business planning preferred. Experience in gaming, hospitality, live entertainment, entertainment venues or ticketing preferred but not mandatory for consideration. Must possess excellent planning, team building, and problem-solving skills.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must qualify for, obtain and maintain any necessary licenses.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos in English. Ability to effectively write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense and understanding in order to effectively carry out written or oral instructions.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to work in a drug free environment and pass a chemical dependency test as required.

Ability to climb stairs and stand for long periods of time. The position also requires substantial walking, bending, and lifting.
