What you'll do here:
The Analyst, Revenue Analytics (FP&A) will be responsible for surfacing actionable data-driven insights to drive Jackson Hewitt’s finance strategy, partnering closely with the Director of FP&A. This is a highly collaborative role, with regular opportunities to interact broadly throughout the organization across multiple departments, and will be instrumental in driving financial decision making and planning.

What you'll do here:
  • Ownership of key financial planning processes for assigned business units and departments, including annual budgeting, monthly financial reporting, forecasting and reforecasting, and in-depth variance analysis explaining not just WHAT happened, but WHY
  • Build, manage, and improve complex financial and operational models to convert operational data and performance results into actionable insights, helping drive business decisions and outcomes
  • Identify and develop metrics and benchmarks to measure key client success indicators and operation efficiency to drive real-time business decisions and process improvement
  • Harvest rich datasets to drive delivery of high-impact analytical and financial projects in partnership with cross-functional teams, including Real Estate, Product, and Operations
  • Provide advisory financial guidance to business leaders and product owners across organization
  • Support Executive Team with ad-hoc financial scenario modeling and business case development/evaluation, including new products, acquisitions, operating footprint, etc.
Skills you’ll bring for success:
  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance preferred, but open to candidates with relevant work experience and more quantitative degrees (math, statistics, economics, engineering, or computer science)
  • 2-5 years of experience as an operations, business, or FP&A analyst (retail industry preferred)
  • Strong working experience with Microsoft Excel required (SQL experience is a bonus)
  • Experience with financial ERP systems preferred (experience with Adaptive is a bonus)
  • Strong quantitative, problem-solving, analytical mindset, with a deep aptitude for numbers and statistical inference, able to distill complex business issues, diagnose root causes, and execute strategies to validate and ultimately resolve the underlying problems
  • Intellectual curiosity, thinking beyond the task at hand to solve bigger problems and drive meaningful outcomes, quickly recognizing the “so what” of a given problem.
