The Role:

The incumbent is responsible for assisting servers in all tasks to provide exceptional service to guests. Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of dining areas and service stations. Stocks all side stations. Removes soiled dishes from dining areas to dishwasher. Resets tables with fresh line, china, silverware, and glassware

Responsibilities:

The incumbent is responsible for:

• Stocking all service areas with clean linen, china, silverware, and glassware
• Filling ice bins daily
• Making coffee and tea
• Assisting servers when needed
• Filling water glasses
• Providing coffee, tea, or soda upon request
• Helping carry food trays
• Refilling bread baskets, condiments, etc…
• Removing soiled dishes from tables to dishwasher – sorting glassware and china and soaking silverware
• Resetting tables with fresh linen, china, silverware, and glassware
• Maintaining cleanliness of all service areas
• Sweeping floors
• Wiping down cabinets and countertops
• Removing soiled linen to linen bins
• Emptying trash receptacles
• Assisting in set-up and tear down of special events
• Carrying out other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be organized
• Serve Safe Certificate

Education and/or Experience:

• High School or GED diploma
• Previous experience in an upscale restaurant or resort preferred

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively respond to questions from managers, clients, customers and the general public. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• 
  Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Must be able to crouch, kneel, bend and reach
• Requires visual acuity and ability to hear clearly to communicate with managers, coworkers and guests
