The API Gateway Engineer role is responsible for the technical implementation of related business solutions. This role is responsible for the design, coding, testing, implementation, and clear documentation of API Gateway API Gateway services. This role is critical to the project plans from beginning to completion and provides advanced level expert analysis skills in identifying root cause issues and permanent fixes.
Necessary Experience/Skillset:
- API Gateway Architecture
- A proven track record of acting at the SME for API projects
- Knowledge regarding APIs applied to business: API Economy, Monetization / Billing, Industry use cases
- Must have expertise in the following areas with 3-5 years’ experience in each area:
- Gateway 9.1 to 9.3 or higher
- OTK 3.x to OTK 4.x &
- MAG 2.x to 4.x
- Expert in API development / deployment on OTK 4.x and MAG 4.x tool kits
- OTK 3.x to 4.x and MAG tool kit 2.x to 4.x to align with the restrictions placed in newer versions without impacting the current BAU method.
- Digital transformation through API Gateway Management and API Security
- Java EE including (Web Services, REST, JPA)
- Database (SQL server/Oracle/MySQL/MoongoDB/Cassandra)
- Spring, OSGi, SOA, EDA and Design patterns
- Must have expert capabilities with engineering API security policies and configure API Management
