Job description
The Applications Analyst – Physician Support will provide leadership and support for activities related to implementation, maintenance, and support of clinical applications within the St. Luke’s Hospital organization. Primarily focused on supporting and enhancing the Physician EMR Experience; the Applications Analyst - Physician Support will also collaborate with teams across Quality, Medical Records, Population Health, and the rest of the Information Services organization.
- Coordinates vendor, IS and other hospital resources to implement new applications, upgrade/enhance existing applications, and perform routine maintenance including basic project management.
- Education and Go-Live Support for new Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and other Care providers
- Continuous Quality and Efficiency improvement based on System Metrics and observed interactions with providers
- Keeps abreast of new solutions and trends as they apply to their respective 10% application(s)/areas and works with hospital staff to perform workflow analysis and process improvement.
- Performs other work duties as assigned.
Experience with EMR System build – Oracle Cerner \ Oracle Health systems a plus
Experience with collaborating with the physician\provider’s full care team and understanding of related workflows and systems that ensure safe, quality patient care
Experience with end user training on EMR workflows including training material development
Experience with Unit, System, and Integrated Testing methodologies
Strong initiative and can establish personal goals and take responsibility for meeting them within defined timelines and with minimal supervision
Familiarity with ITIL change management and incident\request resolution processes
Ability to provide regular professional status updates on projects, support, and other work
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including executives, managers, and subject matter experts
Ability to demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to work remotely (at times) and collaborate with the IT team via real-time chat, video meeting, and other tools utilizing Microsoft TEAMS or similar functionality
Experience with ordering and receiving results from outside reference labs a plus
