Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division is seeking an Applications Engineer for our Novi, MI location as preferred and remote will be considered.

Description:
The applications engineer will be responsible for the delivery and support of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence's Q-DAS and eMMA products.

Responsibilities:
• Software demonstration on new sales activity
• Database setup
• Software installation
• Setting up interfaces with gauges and other data sources
• Configuring the user interface screens and option settings
• Supporting customer ramp-up on- and off-site
• Architecture documentation and instruction
• Hotline Support as needed basis

The applications engineer will be responsible to support the sales department before the sale with technical demonstrations and answering customers’ questions. In addition to delivery and support of Q-DAS products after the sale, application engineer will be responsible for scheduling the project implementation plan with the customer and deliver the implementation and configuration on-site or remotely. If there is aptitude for it, the application engineer may also provide formal training to the customer. The training department is responsible for training, but often draws on resources from the applications department. A 50% of travel is required in this position. Some Q-DAS employees travel more than others based their ability. All else being equal, the ability to travel will be an important consideration. However, we will consider candidates with a more limited ability to travel.

Qualifications:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills for project management
• Self-motivation and a desire to grow with the company
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Understanding of gauging and machine manufacturing
• Understanding of statistical principles
• Experience with Windows networking
• Experience with database applications

Education and/or Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technical field
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience – compensation will be requisite with experience
