Position Overview:
The Application Engineer will be working within the Honeywell Process Solutions business unit, specifically the service team for premium segment customer support and team development. This person is the face of Honeywell and will be working with customers and internal organizations on problem identification and resolution. The purpose of this position will be providing proactive support and development. You will be comfortable speaking with cross functional teams as well as customer operation teams. Candidates must have desire to take the initiative to own and resolve customer issues, and interest in working in a fast paced, high growth, learning environment
In this role you will:
- Provide support and services remotely and effectively to customers.
- Execute GTAC and other standard audit checklists.
- Facilitate issue identification and analysis. Report out to regional stakeholders, work closely with the global team.
- Proactively manage and respond to customer questions, issues.
- Maintain strong case documentation and follow up with A360 Performance Managers to ensure that technical recommendations effectively resolve customer issues.
- Support A360 Performance Managers to enable remote solutions at customer sites making sure the PSC value is consistently demonstrated with each deliverable.
- Keep technically current with the broad HPS product/systems portfolio, while maintaining expert knowledge on the TPS-Experion-DCS product line.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint)
- Ideal candidate expected to work on non-business hours to fulfill commitment to customer. Shifts rotate (50%) 7 AM -3 PM CST or 11 AM-7 PM CST.
WE VALUE
- 0-2years of experience in the system engineering, operations, or services support functions within the Industrial automation industry
- Experience with Honeywell process control systems-Experion PKS and TPN system and its components
- Experience in Distributed Control System (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)
- Experience in Networking, Domain Controller concepts
- Customer facing experience
- Experience in the industry is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal & written communication skills
- Strong continuous improvement mindset, strong leadership impact
- Experience with Salesforce.com and SharePoint
- Demonstrated experience with Knowledge Management & Call Center Management
- Some experience with a variety of the business’s product programming languages
- Deliver premium services for all assigned customers.
- Maintain proactive and timely communications, providing frequent and informative customer updates.
