Centuria Corporation is seeking a Mid Level Software Developer, to support the Technical Services for the National for the National Weather Service (NWS) National Data Bouy Center (NDBC) located at the National Aeronautics and Space Center (NASA) Stennis Space Center (SSC) in Kiln, MS.
REQUIRED Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Mathematics
- CompTIA Security+ Certification [or equivalent].
- 5 years’ experience in requirements analysis and computer systems design, development and implementation, including real-time data acquisition and processing, data communications and scientific/business applications and database systems.
- Familiar with open systems hardware and software.
- Experience using standard programming methods and secure coding techniques.
- Proficient in C++, Java and LAMP (Linux, Apache MySQL and PHP) and Oracle.
- Familiarity with Google Earth, Carnegie Mellon University and Software Engineering Institute processes.
- Demonstrated experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures for software design and development.
- Experience in converting scientific, engineering, and other technical problem formulations to formats that can be processed by computer.
- Experience resolving symbolic formulations, preparing flowcharts and block diagrams, and encoding resultant equations for processing by applying extensive knowledge of branch of science, engineering, or advanced mathematics, such as differential equations or numerical analysis, and understanding of capabilities and limitations of computer.
