Innospec Fuel Specialties has enjoyed unprecedented growth in the past 20 years in North America. To this end, we are adding to our dedicated Fuel Specialties team to ensure this growth continues. We offer extensive expertise and knowledge in petroleum-based fuel additive technologies.

The Application Specialist will have responsibility for managing several strategic fuel additive accounts through onsite service and representation of the Innospec brand.

The primary objective of the Application Specialist is to ensure that all finished fuels produced on-site meet ASTM and global customer specifications while observing health, safety and environmental regulations.

Each week, the Application Specialist will oversee Inventory Management duties, perform routine maintenance and repairs on fuel additive injection pumps and act as extension of the customer engineering team to help troubleshoot fuel quality issues, reduce capital expenditures, improve customer profitability, drive operational efficiency and increase equipment reliability.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all tasks while adhering to Innospec and customer safety requirements
  • Inventory management – Collect and record weekly inventory and injection rates for all fuel additive applications
  • Installation / repair of various equipment – Manage installation of new applications and support PM / repair of existing equipment.
  • Place orders for products in accordance with customer and company guidelines
  • Distribute service reports to customer
  • Coordinate all activities with sales manager
  • Communicate with all levels of local customer organization as needed
  • Report noncompliance of performance metrics immediately
  • Chemical transfers – Transfer product as needed to maintain sufficient inventory in chemical totes
  • Ensure proper dosage, injection point and delivery of all products
  • Maintain proper housekeeping – field application areas

Role Requirements:

  • Highschool required
  • Available to work weekends and evenings as business dictates
  • Some college desirable
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Willingness to travel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
