Applications and Integrations Manager
Full-Time, Exempt
VP, IT Operations
JOB OBJECTIVE
Applications and Integrations Manager ensures optimal operational services, efficiencies and utilization of technology resources, and adherence to company and security policies and procedures. This position is responsible for the Integration of technology across the organization, application availability, services and support to WETA users. This role is a main point of contact for the help desk and escalations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Participate in tactical and strategic planning on technology, including sourcing new and updated software throughout the organization.
- Integrating all software into core WETA services like identity management, 2FA platforms, VPN and hosting situations.
- Ensure new staff is properly integrated in associated desktop software and systems, equipment and procedures.
- Provide direct support to VP IT Operations for both daily operations and strategic projects.
- Perform related special projects or other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Demonstrated understanding of Active Directory, Windows servers, Office365, WAN Networking including VPN tunnels
- In depth understanding of how applications and system interfaces operate within the WETA software stack
- Ability to determine system requirements, security practices to secure software platforms within the WETA environment
- Experience in Help Desk and high touch service organizations.
- Understanding of Media Asset Management systems is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully perform in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities and deadline pressures.
- Ability to work well under pressure, to meet deadlines and to work for extended hours as required.
- Willingness to be on call 24/7 to trouble-shoot technical issues.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- College degree in Information Technology or related field. IT certifications a plus.
- 5 years related experience.
- Or equivalent combination of training and experience.
LOCATION
WETA and NewsHour Productions are Washington, DC established media and news organizations. We are a largely local workforce based out of the Campbell Place office in Arlington, VA. WETA and NewsHour Productions value employee flexibility when possible. Most positions based in our Arlington, VA office will be onsite or hybrid, depending upon the role.
