Position Title: Apprentice Technician

Reports To: Director of Service

Apprentice technicians work directly with experienced marine technicians to expand their knowledge in the marine industry. Days will be spent on the water and in the service center servicing new and used boats.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Complete all work tasks assigned as safely and efficiently as possible
• Ensure the service work performed completes the work order
• Complete all required paperwork or computer/database entries for job assigned, making all necessary remarks legibly on the work order, warranty parts and return parts
• Inspect overall condition of each vessel and trailer, reporting any safety concerns or recommended additional service items to the Lead Technician
• Submit suggestions for work improvements to Lead Technician
• Strictly comply with all company policies regarding safety, use of tools, equipment and vehicles
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

• Must have basic mechanical aptitude
• Embrace challenges as learning opportunities
• Have a valid state driver’s license
• Good health and physical mobility
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background test
• Required tools:

Screwdriver set electrical crimpers assortment of pliers multi meter 2-3 crescent wrenches side cutters socket set tool bag for mobile use of the above tools

Loaner tools can be provided if unable to bring your own tools.
