Nature and Scope

We are seeking a self-motivated, team player with excellent interpersonal skills to fill our Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist opening. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the proper and timely recording of financial transaction for accounts payable ledger in accordance with GAAP and CeriFi’s financial processes. The Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist will work directly with the Controller.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

· Posting external and inter-company invoices according to group standard

· Reconciliation of account statements

· Daily activity will include receiving and processing cash receipts and billing.

· Weekly reconciliation of cash receipts from bank to general ledger.

· Investigating blocked report to ensure invoices are released for timely payment

· Ensuring invoices are paid within payment terms

· Process inter-company transactions.

· Monitor and review accounts receivable aging, including research and resolution of account discrepancies.

· Following up and researching discrepancies on vendor accounts

· Monthly account reconciliation to general ledger.

· Prepare refund transactions.

· Create, maintain, and process month-end closing reports/spreadsheets.

· Special projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred

· 2 years of experience in accounting related field

· Cash receipts experience in a professional business environment.

· Must be extremely detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and exercise good judgment.

· Must possess strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to solve practical problems

· Ability to work with minimal supervision

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Attention to details

· Ability to professionally handle matters of a sensitive nature with confidentiality.

· Must be able to work independently and effectively in a team environment.

· Should require minimal day-to-day supervision and ability to escalate problems or concerns to management in a timely manner.

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel required (pivot tables, formulas, downloads, converting text files to excel).

Able to work independently and potential to work from home

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 per year
