SIZEMORE LOCATION: Federalsburg, MD

JOB SUMMARY: The Armed Security Officer for the Dart Federalsburg location of Sizemore, Inc., will be responsible maintain the overall security of the client facility by enforcing access control; observing, correcting, and reporting violations of the client’s rules and regulations; completing required reports; and performing other duties as requested by the client and Sizemore, Inc.

RELATED JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Conduct security rounds of interior and exterior of facility or client property.
• Logs activity inside Daily Activity Report (DAR) and completes incident reports as required.
• Controls vehicle and personnel access in accordance with established procedures.
• Responds to emergency situations in accordance with established procedures.
• Operates specialized equipment when trained and authorized (i.e. Closed-Circuit Television Systems; vehicle scales, computer systems, etc.)
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures.
• Maintains safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Be at least 21 years of age. (This depends based on the position and legal requirements)
• Have dependable transportation.
• Must submit to and pass required testing. (State required training and testing related to job functions, background, drug)
• Have within the normal range of hearing and eyesight.
• Be able to work any shift, 24-hours per day, seven days per week; or, if unable to work any shift, indicate what restrictions apply to your availability.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Be able to work in harmony with others.
• Must possess great problem-solving skills and be a self-starter.
• Must be able to read and comprehend policies and procedures/rules and regulations written or spoken in English.
• Communicate utilizing the English language and interface effectively in a pleasant “customer service” tone, whether the individual is an internal or external customer.
• Possess patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm; as well as diplomacy and professionalism when dealing with any person in the work environment.
• Must adhere to all safety requirements of Sizemore and any applicable job site.
• May be required to operate a company motor vehicle. With this responsibility, an MVR must be provided and accepted by Sizemore.
• Must possess initiative and sound judgment in evaluating and reacting to situations.

• May encounter bloodborne pathogens
• May encounter threatening situations
• Works inside and outside in all weather conditions
• Extensive walking and standing required
• May be required to work overtime

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High School diploma or GED is required.

Work Experience:

Previous experience in Security, Military or Law Enforcement is desirable.

Physical / Mental Requirements:

Work is classified as moderate in physical requirements. Requires the ability to lift/carry 50 lbs. with some regularity. Work requires high attention and mental demands, including the ability to prioritize and process information with accuracy and clarity. Must possess initiative and sound judgment in evaluating and reacting to situations under emergency and high-stress situations.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

• 5x8
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekend availability
• Weekends only
