Summary:
Sets up and operates machine tools such as Assembly Oven, Assembly Freezer, Hydraulic press, post drill and all assembly tools. Hand grinders, following duties at the advanced assembly level.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Reads blueprint and follows work instruction for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions such as fixtures, components, and determines sequence of operations.
• Selects correct assembly tools, positions, and secures parts in fixture.
• Positions and secures work piece in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers, or fixtures.
• Moves controls to position on Oven and Freezer, and to set specified Hydraulic pressure on C Frame Press.
• Sets up fixture or feeding device, starts machine, and turns hand wheel to feed tool to work piece or vice versa, and engages feed.
• Follows all PPE requirements while performing assembly functions.
• Completes all assembly operations and verifies conformance of assembled work piece to specifications
• Fills out required information on tub cards, process sheets and time cards correctly.
• Maintains a clean work area, including the machine and the floor around the machine.
• Removes all or any scrap from work area.
• Complete one partner audit per day.

Education And /Or Experience

• Previous experience or training; or One year training at MD.
• Completed three or more set-ups on all assembly machine tools on their own.
• Must have completed geo metric and tolerance class.
• Must have knowledge of all tools, gaging used in their area.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
