Job Summary:

  • Provide oversight, coaching, and guidance for your respective work area.
  • Ensure your team is working safely to produce product while adhering to quality standards.
  • Conduct shift start up meetings to provide good communication and updates to the team on a daily basis.
  • Oversee the approval of personnel timecards and time off requests within Paycom.com for your team.
  • Guides and assists in developing standard work through documentation or illustrations to improve safety, quality and delivery of product and development of the work group.
  • Operate with a continuous improvement mindset aimed at improving safety, quality, output, scrap reduction, etc… Teach, coach, and mentor your team to build their competency
  • Lead the production team with a sense of urgency. Identify issues and resolve or escalate them when not understood to other departments (i.e. maintenance, engineering, quality)
  • Initiate or assist with initiating quality holds and conducting root cause analysis when quality holds are discovered/initiated.
  • Identify process failures to understand root cause and put countermeasures in place to prevent future recurrence.
  • Performs Syteline transactions / troubleshooting & generates reports.
  • Audits end of shift cleanup to verify associates have prepared the cells for the next shift.
  • Maintain KPI’s of your respective work center, report out daily on work cell performance.

The ideal candidate(s) should have at least 2 years in an assembly or manufacturing environment, with excellent written, oral, problem solving and leadership skills and also with the ability to mentor and coach team members

  • 2 year degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing environment.
  • APIC’s, CPIM or Lean Certified Preferred.
  • Basic Manufacturing Processes.
  • Minimum 2 years in Supervision or Management.
  • Minimum 1 year in Lean (Value Stream Mapping, Cellular Design and Waste Reduction).
  • MIS systems, (Syteline, ERP, APS or MRP)
  • Leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizing skills.
  • Excellent soft skills and ability to motivate co-workers and staff.
  • Ability to mentor and coach.
  • Ability to lead others through change.
  • Demonstrates respect for all individuals in all forms of communication.
  • Maintains confidentiality as appropriate.
  • Good problem solving skills using A3, PDCA, Fishbone diagram, or cause and effect methodologies.
