Job Requirements: The successful candidate can work night shift, has a minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience, understands mig and resistance welding, has excellent communication skills, competency in MS Office applications and Vocational school or college degree a plus!

Supervises and coordinates all activities of Assembly Technicians, providing support by insuring the assembly equipment operates at maximum capacity. Recommends and takes an active role in improving production methods, technician and equipment performance, product quality and increase efficiency utilizing the Kaizen approach.

  • Maintain satisfactory work area through implementation of 5S
  • Effectively eliminate safety concerns
  • Responsible for training, coaching and leading of assembly technicians
  • Communicate with Section Manager all safety items requiring assistance
  • Implement safety countermeasures
  • Develop cost reduction activities for scope of position
  • Analyze problems as they arise, reporting concerns to appropriate leaders, in a timely fashion
  • Ensure parts produced meet UNIPRES quality standards
  • Check equipment start-up and monitor or assist in tip maintenance or equipment problems
  • Be proactive in line Kaizen activities for productivity improvement, process NG reduction, scrap reduction
  • Plan and coordinate equipment downtime control with supervisor or support personnel where locator pins, sensors, weld gun condition, part fit, nut welders and nut feeders are concerned
  • Implement work hour requirements for completion of job assignments
  • Communicate effectively with support personnel about work-related problems, performance expectations, and business needs
