Aptar is a leading manufacturer in dispenser solutions. Our products are used for packaging in various arenas: closures, beauty, home, and pharmaceutical products.
As an Assembly Technician with Aptar you will:
- Monitor multiple high speed automated production machines to insure quality production standards are achieved
- Verify the correctness of components from shop order to component number, to prevent mixed or wrong parts
- Perform quality checks visually and using various inspection gauges
- Perform testing of assembled product to insure product meets performance requirements
- Fill machine hoppers for multiple machines
- Perform rework at machine and sorts machine scrap
- Perform recordkeeping duties using various production forms and a PC
- Load aluminum sheets onto or into machinery and threads into machine where necessary
- Perform traceability and lot control functions utilizing a hand held scanner
- Perform and meet the requirements of BRC/GMP/ISO in all job activities

General Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Must be able to stand 40% and walk 60% of the shift
- Must be able to lift/move up to approximately 25 pounds (10% of shift) and reach above shoulder 5% of shift
- Must be able to scoop component parts weighing approximately 1 pound on a continuous basis
- Must have the ability to grasp or thread tubing
- Must be able to bend and push (20% of shift) cartons of product weighing up to 40 pounds throughout the shift (every 10-15 minutes)
- Must have good vision in order to perform visual inspection duties
- Must be able to hear warning signals and verbal alerts to avoid injury during manufacturing process
- Must be able to work as a member of a team, have high energy level and be able to work well under pressure
- Must be able to read, write and speak English in order to communicate and understand relevant information relating to quality and production issues
- Must be able to discern shades of color and color differences relating to component parts used in the manufacturing process
