JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are currently seeking an Analyst to join our growing team. The Analyst will work on a diverse portfolio of transitional commercial loan assets. The Analyst will be tasked with providing asset management support and qualitative and quantitative loan underwriting for a growing portfolio of commercial real estate loans.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Support the senior asset managers and coordinate with servicers and construction consultants including monitoring construction/leasing/sales progress, reviewing borrower reporting and monthly loan draw packages, evaluating leasing/sales approval requests, and preparing funding requests
- Complete quarterly financial and loan summary updates for each asset and the portfolio
- Update and/or create credit committee presentation memos for loan modifications
- Assess budget deficiency/rebalancing and update financial models
- Correspond with borrower and co-lenders on various aspects of asset management requests
- Work collaboratively to achieve department and firm objectives
- Other ad-hoc projects as assigned
SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Economics, Finance or other related field required
- 1-2 years of experience in commercial real estate is preferred, including direct experience with loan origination and/or underwriting, investment management, asset management, or commercial property management
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a team player
- Ability to work in a challenging, fast paced environment and handle multiple projects at the same time while meeting the deadlines. Accuracy and attention to detail is critical.
