We are seeking an Assistant Claims Account Manager who will be responsible for providing administrative and account support to the Claim Account Managers as outlined in the duties and responsibilities section noted below. This customer service-related role is important in assisting with the achievement of the overall retention objective for Sompo North America. It will be based out of our Florham Park NJ, or Charlotte NC office locations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up and maintenance of accounts - The CAM assistant will assist and be responsible for the timely setup and maintenance of account information as directed by the CAM. Specifically, in the middle market & small business groups. General maintenance of account folder sharepoint site & portal linkage. Owner of onboarding MPN/HCN communications, creation & maintenance of client’s state/location specific WC treating panel requirements, auto claim kits & Luminos security access request. Oversight of TPA error log

Claim Review Assistance - Assist, as directed by the CAM, in scheduling and preparing for client claim reviews. General maintenance & ownership of CAM claim review calendar.

Systems – Uses Sompo America, Sompo International and TPA systems to gather and input loss data, run reports to identify claims for claim review and to run reports at the request of insured, underwriting, broker or the CAM’s. Creation, maintenance & oversight of all client loss run needs. Specifically, manual consolidation of multiple data inputs/reports into single reporting.

New business and presentations - Assist in preparation of proposals materials for prospective clients and develop the materials needed to produce the presentation.

Client Inquires – Deal with clients directly, via telephone or e-mail, to handle specific customer service inquires or requests when CAM back up is needed. Resolve requests and inquires to the satisfaction of the client keeping the CAM’s and/or the manager informed of the issues and the resolution.

Education / Experience /Knowledge / Skills / abilities:

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Prior experience in a claim operation is preferred but other experience will be considered. Must be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office with above average skills in Word & Excel.
