Assistant Superintendent / Field Engineer

Our client is a Central Indiana construction firm which is seeking an Assistant Superintendent / Field Engineer who will help facilitate project delivery and administrative requirements related to planning, management and communication through effective day-to-day administration and coordination of projects in Des Moines, IA. This individual will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and other project team members.

Assistant Superintendent / Field Engineer Responsibilities:

• Assist the Superintendent & Project Manager to maintain project schedule file distribute as necessary
• Subcontractor meeting documentation
• Thoroughly photograph the progress of construction
• Review drawings, submittals, shop drawings
• Produce RFI’s
• Create, assist and document punchlist

Assistant Superintendent / Field Engineer Requirements

• Team oriented
• Ability to identify and communicate process improvement solutions
• Problem solving
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
• Must have valid driver's license and good driving record

Assistant Superintendent / Field Engineer Preferred Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a construction related field preferred (i.e., construction management, civil engineering, etc.)
• Two-year construction related degree or trade certificate, and/or equivalent experience will also be considered.
• Ground-up, multifamily project experience preferred, but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Education:

• Associate (Required)

Experience:

• large project construction in excess of $5M: 1 year (Preferred)
• ground-up construction: 1 year (Required)
• concrete construction: 1 year (Preferred)
• Multifamily construction: 1 year (Preferred)
• in the field construction: 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
