POSITION PURPOSE:
Provides a wide variety of services pertaining to programming, budgeting, accounting, and review and analysis in the administration and overall management of the Organization.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:
B. A. Degree with a Major in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration. Five (5) years of general accounting of which two (2) years shall be in supervisory position.

Licensure / Certification:
Maintain current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Skills / Ability:
Ability to make Arithmetic computations rapidly and accurately. Ability to apply bookkeeping principles to the maintenance of routine fiscal accounting records. Ability to work as a team and independently. Ability to handle large amount of vendor calls. Ability to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills. Must have a basic understanding of computers, Microsoft office applications, accounting ERPs, GAAP principles, federal cost principles, and financial analysis.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (THIS IS A EXEMPT POSITION)

The incumbent serves at the pleasure of the Controller and VP of Finance

Generates accounting reports prepared for funding agencies.

Provides a wide variety of services pertaining to programing, budgeting, accounting, and review and analysis in the administration and overall management of the organization.

Provides assistance to Program Managers.

Provides system analysis and management systems design services for the Organization.

Review and analysis, to include preparation of progress and statistical reports.

Establishment and monitoring of procedures to ensure the administrative control of funds.

Work in conjunction with the Payroll Manager and Accounts Payable Manager in preparing ad hoc financial reporting.

Assist the VP of Finance in establishing and accomplishing an effective internal audit program.

Assists in the coordination of the Annual External Audit and prepares necessary schedules.

Provides audit liaison and audit compliance services.

Prepares adjustment entries and monthly closing entries.

Prepares monthly General Ledger entries and prepares monthly reconciliation of selected General Ledger Accounts.

Prepares Quarterly Financial Reports for special programs billing.

Consults and advice on routine questions and problems raised by staff.

Reconciliation of assigned Balance Sheet Accounts.

Budget development.

Performs Cash Transfers.

Fixed Asset Management and Depreciation.

Prepares Financial Statements: Profit & Loss

Prepares Financial Statements: Balance Sheet

Prepares Financial Statements: Cash Flow

Prepares Financial Statements: Budgets.

Performs Workers Compensation Audits.

Review of Month P & L with Managers.

Monthly Cost Allocations.

Completes Chart of Accountants Maintenance.

Performs Month End Closeout.

Medicaid Wrap Around.

Performs financial analysis on the revenue cycle management process.

To cross train job responsibilities with the Payroll Manager, Accounts Payable Manager, Purchasing Manager, and Senior Financial Analyst.

Perform bank reconciliations for multiple operating accounts.

Financial ad hoc reporting at the request of the VP of Finance.

Assist accounting team in preparing for fiscal meetings.

Reports to work on time and ready to work with minimal absenteeism.

Adheres to Confidentiality Policies and Procedures / HIPAA Regulations.

Performs other duties as assigned.
